Plants increase well-being

According to a study carried out by Washington State University, the simple fact of having

plants in sight, in a work environment, produces positive physiological responses on blood

pressure and the control of emotions. In addition, the study demonstrated increased

productivity, increased attention span, and decreased stress level [Lohr et al. Env. Behav.

2001 33:507]. Another study conducted at the Norwegian Agricultural University describes a

decrease in symptoms such as cough, fatigue, and dry or itchy skin [Tove F & Charite B, Plant
